As I’m so curious about The amount of the Avengers fictions in AO3
It begun with an super-hilarious [Private Bookmark?] fiction by storiesfortravellers
So I just wondered how many fictions in any characters/relationships in AO3
(which I’m wandering for a while, only in my fav pairing tag ^^; )Then I
well, it’s JARVIS actuallymade this table to cure my curiosity *LOL*
Now if someone would please explain how Clint/Coulson (\o/) became such a popular pairing, I’d be most delighted.
Well, I’m not exactly an expert but this is how it went down in my observations.
Once upon a time, Clint made a cameo in Thor. The only person he actually talked to was Coulson.
People kind of liked the bantery nature of their interplay despite the fact that their combined conversation time was all of 47 seconds.
A few Clint/Coulson prompts were made to norsekink.
People were like huh.
A few of them were filled.
The C/C fics tended to be pretty good.
More and more people were like heyyyyyyy that’s a crazy idea but it just might work!
More fic was produced, even without prompts! Often by extremely good authors which just kept people coming back for more.
They continued on to avengerkink. More and more fic was produced!
C/C got its own AIM blast group! And its own prompt meme!
More fic happened! And fanart! And filk and ridiculousness!
And then it magically became the second most popular Avengers pairing on the AO3.
There was much rejoicing.
And they all lived (ESPECIALLY COULSON) happily ever after.

Fandom is always beating up on Clint Barton, a.k.a. Hawkeye of the Avengers. But you know what, sometimes you just need a little comfort without all the hurt.

Realization of the day.
Throughout the movies that make up the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we have seen the following.
- Tony Stark without a shirt.
- Bruce Banner without a shirt.
- Natasha Romanoff in a bra.
- Thor without a shirt.
- Steve Rogers without a shirt.
There is obviously only one conclusion to be made by this.
If we do not get a shirtless Clint Barton in The Avengers, someone is not being a team player.
